Ashley R. Thomas(Ms. Ashley)
At an early age, Ms. Ashley discovered her passion for working with children and got her first true experiences taking care of her younger siblings and other family members.  When she entered High School Ms. Ashley took it a step further and began taking Child Development classes to expand her education in this field. It is at this point, where she realized she wanted to make child care as her career.  Ms. Ashley has been working for Flowers Daycare Center for three years and enjoys every moment of it. It has brought her a great deal of joy to work with such wonderful children and Parents every day, where it is a learning experience for her as well. She credits her experiences at FFDC with preparing her for motherhood!

Elizabeth L. Morgan (Ms. Morgan)
Ms. Morgan has been working for Flowers Daycare Center since October 2009 and is currently attending Prince George’s Community College for Early Childhood Education, concentrating in Business Management. As a mother of 4, there was no other choice than to make this her career of study. Teachers must have the ability to communicate, inspire trust, confidence and motivate students as well as understand student’s educational and emotional needs. This is a virtue that Ms. Morgan is applying at FFDC every day.

Joslyn Roberts (Ms. Joslyn)
Ms. Joslyn has been working for Flowers Daycare Center for over one year. Her educational background and esteem for children has allowed her to approach teaching in a special way. Visual creativity and independence in learning are very important in helping children to gain a sense of individuality, while learning from the surrounding environments. With proper training, support and encouragement s believes that all children can start to develop the foundational skills necessary to guide them on a road to a future filled with purpose.

Renee Hawkins (Ms. Renee)
Ms. Renee or as the children call her Ms. Nay, has been working in the early childcare field since 1984. She has worked with all age groups such as school age and children with special needs. As she watched her own children develop over the years, it encouraged her to want to learn more about early childhood development. Her love and passion for children is genuine and natural. She believes that children are like leaves on a tree; they grow and thrive off of the love and compassion we as adults provide. “As a teacher and educator it is our responsibility to show and give love, nurture them and educate and prepare them for the future.”
